Leading Democrat Criticized as a ‘Joke’ During Hearing for Attacking Musk
Serial entrepreneur and author Magatte Wade delivered a sharp critique of Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) and other Democrats, accusing them of showing through their actions in Congress that they are no longer working in the best interests of the American people.
Her comments came in response to a statement made by Rep. Raskin during a hearing on Tuesday. Raskin had questioned whether the country needed to rely on Elon Musk, saying, “Do we really need to hire a fourth branch of government called Elon Musk to go out and do it for us?” He went on to make disparaging remarks about Musk, calling him and his DOGE team “mutant teenage racist computer hackers.”
Wade, who has been an outspoken advocate for entrepreneurship and free markets, responded by emphasizing how politicians like Raskin have strayed from serving the American people, instead engaging in personal attacks and political gamesmanship. Her comments reflect growing frustration among some individuals with how certain leaders in Washington, particularly Democrats, are handling important issues in the country. Wade’s remarks highlight a deeper criticism of the way Congress is functioning under current leadership and the increasing reliance on private sector figures like Musk to drive progress where lawmakers have faltered.
